Street Sweeping Begins April 1
Pittsburgh Street Sweeping Program will begin on April 1, and continue through November 30. Residents are encouraged to check street signs on their block for scheduled sweeping times and parking restrictions.
Street sweeping plays a vital role in maintaining clean and safe roadways throughout the City. The program helps reduce debris buildup, improve water drainage, and enhance overall neighborhood cleanliness. The Department of Public Works provides different levels of service based on street type and usage, with business districts and main corridors receiving more frequent sweeping than residential areas.
Holiday Cancellations
Unlike Curbside Refuse Collection, when an observed holiday falls on the same day as signed Street Cleaning, the Street Cleaning day is cancelled, and will not occur until the next street signed Street Cleaning day. To request additional Street Cleaning please call 311.
