Coffee Brews & Boos Brings Fall Fun to Morningside
Even with the unseasonably hot weather, fall arrived in style this weekend at Coffee Brews & Boos, a neighborhood event hosted by KaFair Coffee and Cakery owner Sujitra “Amy” Taimmoungpan and Morningside resident Yazmin Tapia.
Families and friends gathered to celebrate the season with face painting, pumpkin crafts, and cookie decorating, all surrounded by the smell of freshly brewed coffee and the buzz of community spirit. Children dove into sensory bins and picked from a patch of mini pumpkins, while grown-ups enjoyed the sweet treats and relaxed vibes that KaFair is known for.
Adding to the fun, DJ Jello Salad kept the energy high with a perfectly Halloween-adjacent playlist, spooky enough to make you dance, but not scare the little ones away!
A big thank you goes out to City Speakers for donating sensory bin materials and to Cavicini’s Lawn and Garden Center for the generous supply of pumpkins that brightened the kids’ activity area.
With its mix of creativity, laughter, and pumpkin-spiced joy, Coffee Brews & Boos proved that community magic happens when neighbors come together, even in the middle of a fall heat wave.
