Caterpillars to Butterflies Childcare and Development Center Opens on Jancey

Morningside is happy to welcome an exciting new business to our little bustling downtown! Located at 1801 Jancey Street, Caterpillars to Butterflies Childcare and Development Center is a new daycare that will give neighborhood parents the opportunity to keep their childcare close to home.

Director and owner Shaqué Jones found a passion for education by working in a charter school for the past seven years. Currently completing a Masters in Education at Point Park, Jones opened Caterpillars to Butterflies to help local parents.

"I have a daughter that is two-years old and she gave me my purpose," Jones said. "I know how hard it is for families to find childcare so I want to take that load off families in the Morningside area and surrounding areas. Caterpillars to Butterflies CDC is a new affordable daycare that seeks to attract customers that value their children’s growth and hopes to be viewed as a facility that facilitates the lifelong journey of discovery – one that is informative, enlivened, and enriched by academic achievement, entertainment and personal growth. The aim of Caterpillars to Butterflies Childcare and Development Center is to provide a nurturing environment where every child learns better and is surrounded by affectionate and caring people. Our mission is to provide a high-quality learning environment where young scholars can grow and develop socially, physically, and cognitively. We work with families to actively nurture, support, and encourage each individual child, building a strong foundation for life, education, and success. If you are looking for childcare Caterpillars to Butterflies CDC is a great place."

Caterpillars to Butterflies is currently enrolling children ages 1-5. They can be reached by email at caterpillars2butterfliescdc@gmail.com or by phone at 412.404.2595
