MACC Accepting Nominations for President and Secretary

The Morningside Area Community Council (MACC) is accepting nominations for two leadership positions: President and Secretary. These roles are essential to guiding MACC’s mission, supporting neighborhood initiatives, and strengthening community engagement throughout Morningside.

Serving on the MACC board is a meaningful way to contribute to the vibrancy and future of our neighborhood. We encourage all residents who are passionate about community service—and who have the time and commitment to participate actively—to consider stepping forward or nominating a neighbor.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

PRESIDENT

  • Leads the MACC board, sets meeting agendas, and ensures the organization operates in alignment with its mission and bylaws.

  • Serves as the primary representative of MACC to residents, community partners, and city officials.

  • Oversees major projects, supports committees, and ensures effective communication and coordination across the organization.

SECRETARY

  • Maintains accurate records of MACC meetings and makes available for the public.

  • Manages organizational correspondence and ensures timely communication with board members and the community.

  • Oversees recordkeeping responsibilities such as maintaining bylaws and organizing MACC’s administrative documents.
