Morningside's Cheesiest Event Yet!

Congratulations! Mike Hilton, Dorothy Klingensmith, Susan Hartman

On Saturday, March 9, the Spigno Saturnia Italian Club on Chislett Street was buzzing with excitement as 150 eager Morningside neighbors gathered for a night of delights! Bakers from all corners of the neighborhood, and even some from as far as the Northside of Pittsburgh and Reading, came together to showcase their culinary prowess in hopes of claiming the coveted title of MACC n' Cheese fork trophy winner.

As attendees savored the cheesy creations, they also enjoyed refreshing beer generously donated by Dancing Gnome and indulged in mouthwatering chicken tenders from E-Town Bar and Grill, provided by Councilwoman Deb Gross's Office. But the real highlight of the evening? The electrifying performances by hyper-local musical talents John Bindley, Dave Shepherd, Valerie Wood, and Corey Wood, which added an extra layer of fun to the festivities.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to the Spigno Club for providing an incredible space and unwavering community support throughout the event!

Of course, none of this would have been possible without the dedication of our amazing volunteers, who worked tirelessly to ensure the night was a resounding success. If you're interested in joining our volunteer team for future events, don't hesitate to fill out our volunteer form here!

In addition to being a night of carb fun, this event also served a greater purpose by raising close to $2,500 to support many of the free events hosted in the neighborhood throughout the year. It's heartwarming to see our community come together to support each other and celebrate our shared love of mac and cheese!
