Join the Morningside Bi-Monthly Clean-Up Crew!

Hey there, Morningside residents! You might have noticed how our neighborhood blossomed as spring arrived and dedicated volunteers picked up loads of litter on Earth Day in April. However, it's hard not to see that much of that litter has unfortunately made a comeback.

Introducing a new initiative

The Morningside Cleanup Crew. We're assembling a team of eco-champions, trash tamers, and litter-conscious locals to join forces (and don gloved hands) to pick up trash every other month. Our goal is to reclaim our streets from the troublesome trio of discarded n95s, fast food wrappers, and plastic bottles with mysterious contents.

And we need YOU on board! We'll collaborate with the city to supply bags and gloves for all litter collectors, break the neighborhood into zones so you can collect litter near your home, and arrange for the pickup of bagged debris. But YOU are critically important: Our success relies on our collective collection efforts.

Litter pickup offers a fantastic opportunity to get some exercise, enjoy the outdoors, bond with loved ones, and make a positive impact on our community. It's a mood booster and instills neighborhood pride. It’s perfect for individuals or groups, and it’s an excellent way to engage children in making a meaningful difference in their surroundings.
